Each year, the KJT Board of Directors names specific charities and asks that societies hold fundraising efforts to support these charities.
Our priests and other religious have dedicated their lives in service to the Church and God's people. The board of directors of KJT has chosen the Priest and Religious Retirement Fund as one of its statewide charity projects in an effort to give back and assist the clergy and religious in their needs that they encounter later in life.
Funds raised by each society stay in the diocese in which the society is located so any donation will be directly helping your local priests and religious.
It currently costs over $30,000 per year to educate each seminarian. With this in mind, the KJT board of directors has chosen to have the Seminarian Education Fund as one of its statewide charity fundraisers. Please consider making donations to this worthy cause as we help to educate our future priests who will celebrate the Sacraments for us and preach the Good News of the Gospels.
Funds raised by each society stay in the diocese in which the society is located so donations will directly be helping to educate future priests for your diocese.
The Kids Unlimited Foundation is a non-profit organization formed to benefit children stricken with cancer. For many years, our organization has been scattered between director’s homes; however, in 1992 the foundation took its chance to incorporate everything into one location by purchasing 12.5 acres of property not far from Houston’s medical center. The property chosen as the foundation’s new home is called “The Kids Ranch” and offers a consistent and centralized site for most of the activities held each year for the children and their families.
At the time of purchase, the Kids Ranch already sported a spacious 3400 sq. ft. house in which meetings and smaller indoor activities are now being held, and a 1-acre pond that is currently used for our annual Catfish Tournament. The numerous trees offer shade when participating in outdoor games, sports, and picnics. The Kids Ranch also makes a nice place for our annual holiday parties. Also already on site is a large barn that is now the central storage of Kids Unlimited event supplies and materials. This 12.5-acre site offers plenty of growth potential for our foundation, allowing room for possibly a softball field, an outdoor pavilion for open-air meetings and parties, and an attached enclosed banquet room for more formal indoor gatherings. The possibilities are endless!
With the kind and generous support from corporations, organizations, and individuals, this big step in the growth of our foundation can become a reality. We invite you to become a supporter of the new Kids Unlimited headquarters by contributing to our “property fund”. Every donation is important, no matter how large or small. For more information on donating to our property fund and receiving special recognition, please call our main number: 713/433-2575.
Everyone involved in the foundation will greatly appreciate your kind support. Together, we can continue to put smiles on the faces and laughter in the voices of these special children with cancer.
