13TH ANNUAL CZECH SPRINGFEST Sunday, March 30, SPJST Lodge #88, 1435 Beall St. in the Heights area of Houston. A traditional Sunday dinner will be served from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. priced at $7.50 for adults and $5.50 for children under 10. After 2 p.m., sausage with sauerkraut and good Czech noodle soup will be available. Admission to the event is $6 person and children 10 and under get in free. Music will be provided by the Kovanda Czech Band and the Krenek Orchestra featuring the hammer dulcimer. Vendors will be selling their wares and several cultural booths will have displays of Czech/Slovak cultural items. A guest artist will demonstrate the art of decorating gingerbread cookies.
